2008 JA BizTown Summer Camp
For 10-14 Year Olds

At Junior Achievement's Summer Camp...
... the Kids Run the Place!

At this camp, the kids run the place. That’s because the place is JA BizTown, a 10,000 square-foot mini-metropolis located in the Owings Mills headquarters of Junior Achievement.

BizTown is home to:

  • Retail stores
  • City Hall
  • Bank
  • Café
  • Newspaper office
  • Broadcast center
  • And other amenities you find in real cities.

During the school year, 3rd-6th graders learn about business by running JA BizTown.  Now as a summer camp experience, JA is opening up the town for kids 10-14 years old to give them a chance to find out what it takes to manage a city and run a business.

The one-week camp lets kids have a blast while gaining “real-world” skills in a truly immersive environment.  With jobs ranging from mayor to radio DJ, product designer to accountant, campers explore careers, design business plans, and work as teams to make their businesses successful.

If your child dreams of :

  • creating a business;
  • running a city; and
  •  inventing products;

then your budding entrepreneur will love being at JA BizTown Summer Camp.

The BizTown Summer Camp will host the one-weeks session in 2008:

  • June 23-27
  • July 14-18
  • July 28-August 1
  • August 4-8
